KABUL Mateen Cleaves Jersey , Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Three Afghan civilians were wounded after a bomb attack hit a NATO military convoy in western side of Kabul on Sunday, authorities said.

The bomber was killed following the blast but the explosion did not cause casualties on the NATO-led Resolute Support (RS) personnel travelling in the multi-vehicle convoy, the RS forces confirmed.

"There are no Resolute Support casualties as result of the explosion. A team from Resolute Support is on the scene to recover the vehicle," they said on Twitter.

"A foreign forces' military convoy came under attack by a suicide bomber driving a sedan in Afshar locality, Police District 5. The blast caused three civilians wounded," the Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement earlier.

A military university and two Afghan security forces' military training centers are located near the site.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

MANILA, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte visited the war-torn Marawi City on Thursday to check on the government security forces fighting to completely liberate the besieged city from militants allied with the Islamic State (IS) group.

Army Lt. Col Jo-Ar Herrera said Duterte dropped by the military camp in the city to show his strong support for the troops.

""The visit shows that the president is very firm in his strong support to the ongoing military operation in the city Joe Smith Jersey ,"" Herrera said.

Fighting continues to rage in the city since May 23, which has so far killed 565 people.
